Located in the Gulf of Thailand, Koh Tao enjoys warm, sunny weather throughout the year. April and May are Koh Tao’s hottest months when daytime temperature can reach about 40C. Water temperatures remain a pleasant 27-29C all year round.

Koh Tao’s favourable weather does get disrupted by an annual monsoon which arrives each year around November. The monsoon brings a couple of weeks of strong winds and heavy rain to Koh Tao. We can still visit dive sites on the sheltered  side of the island, but sea conditions are rougher, and underwater visibility isn’t as good.
