INSTRUCTOR INTERNSHIP PRE-REQUISITES

Whether you’re a certified diver or not we offer tailor made packages to suit your needs. 

To complete the Open Water course, you need to be able to swim 200 metres and float/tread water for 10 minutes. 

All PADI courses require a minimum level of health and fitness, and you are required to complete a medical questionnaire.

To start your professional level training (DM and OWSI) you need to be 18 years old and have a Medical Statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months (you can get a medical on Koh Tao).

Our 7-month Instructor internship package includes everything you would need from the Open Water Diver course right up to the professional level of PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor. If you are already certified contact us and we can adjust the package to suit your needs. What’s included:

  • EFR Primary & Secondary Care training (with AED)
  • Rescue Diver course
  • Divemaster course
  • Deep, Nitrox and O2 Provider specialty courses
  • Instructor Development Course (IDC)

  • Emergency O2 Provider Instructor course
  • All PADI materials
  • Unlimited fun dives

Please note that this does not include the Divemaster, OWSI and EFRI application fees. It also does not include the Instructor Examination fee. These are all paid directly to PADI. They currently total AUD$ 1722. PADI fees are adjusted on a yearly basis each January, these are the 2023 fees.

A complete set of dive equipment (except dive computer) is also included, although you will need to purchase your own for a career in scuba diving. We can offer a 20% discount on all scuba gear from any of the suppliers on Koh Tao. You will also get your own Scuba Shack t-shirt and logbook.

Accommodation is not included, but we can assist you in finding the perfect place for your stay on Koh Tao. Monthly bungalow rental prices range from between 5000 – 12000 Baht per month. Contact Us for more information on accommodation.
